🗓️ Day 1 (Surgery Day)
The operation is usually performed under general anesthesia.
You will rest in the recovery room immediately after the operation.
You may have a splint (cast), tampon or silicone in your nose.
Fatigue, mild pain, dizziness and a feeling of nasal congestion are normal.
Cold compresses and prescription painkillers will get you through the first night.
🗓️ Days 2-3
The most intense swelling and bruises are seen on these days.
There may be discoloration, especially around the eyes.
It is important to rest by keeping your head elevated.
Cold compresses are very useful during these days.
🗓️ Days 4-6
Swelling and bruising gradually begin to decrease.
The tampon (if any) is usually removed on the 4th or 5th day.
Breathing becomes easier.
During this period, you can slowly start to return to social life.
🗓️ Day 7 – Plaster Removal
The splint on your nose is usually removed around day 7.
This is the first time you will see your nose in the mirror – but remember that it is not yet finalized!
Your nose may be swollen, but the new contours start to become clear.
🗓️ Week 2
Most of the swelling has gone down.
The bruises around the eyes have mostly disappeared.
This is a good time to return to work or school.
Your nose may still be sensitive; sports, sun exposure and wearing glasses are not recommended.
🗓️ 1st Month
The shape of the nose gradually begins to settle.
Light exercises can be started (with the doctor’s approval).
Severe blows and traumas should be avoided.
🗓️ 3rd Month – 6th Month
Swelling is largely gone.
Nose contours start to look more natural.
There may be a slight swelling at the tip, but usually only you will notice it.
🗓️ 6th Month – 12th Month
Your nose approaches its final form.
The shape of the tip and the nostrils fit perfectly.
Full recovery can take up to 1 year, depending on the extent of the intervention.
